It’s inevitable. After 80-100 years of life, leaded windows begin to give way to mother nature. Becoming brittle, collapsing and of lack of weather proofing are 3 good reasons to have your windows redone. Properly insulated leaded windows will get rid of cold drafts and save you money. The frames around these still need repainted, but the new leaded glass is ready for winter.

This repair was a unique challenge from start to finish. The 70 year old sidelight in Sea Cliff had been hit by a rock on Halloween. Most likely from a slingshot as it also shattered the clear protective glass and landed several feet into the home. Still in moderate condition, the panel would greatly benefit from getting new lead.
