Originally intended to be one side of a large two paneled window, this has ended up an 18×36 framed panel. Consisting of glue chip (looks like frost) and several types of antique glass which vary in thickness, it begs for light. The deep purple, blue and greens are beautiful tones and really come alive with direct sun. Notice how dark the top panel is against the white backdrop. I’ll be staining the frame dark as well.
This window gets very nice light in the late morning, early afternoon and is often the spot I place new pieces for a few days to get a feel for them. Our baby daughter likes to stop and gaze here often. Bottom left is the amber seahorse I made using a ring saw (also used for the Bat Signal). Bottom right is a flower patterned sun catcher and center is the nautical star I designed.
